 Psaki The eldest of three daughters,was born in Stamford, Connecticut in 1978 to psychotherapist[8] Eileen (nee Dolan) Medvey[9] and Dimitrios "James" R. Psaki (Greek: Demetrios R. Psakes), a retired real estate developer with a grandfather who moved to Greece in 1904 and whose grandmother was of Irish descent. In 1976, her parents got married. Psaki has Polish roots. She graduated from Greenwich High School, 1996. In 2000, Psaki graduated from the College of William & Mary. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in English and sociology. She is an active Chi Omega sorority member. Psaki was a backstroke swimmer on the William & Mary Tribe's athletic team for two consecutive years. Psaki's career path began in 2001, when she became involved in the re-election campaigns of Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate, and Tom Vilsack, a candidate for governor. Psaki later became John Kerry's press secretary. Psaki was also the director of communications for Joseph Crowley, a U.S. representative, and the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. MSNBC has announced Psaki as an analyst on the political scene for the 2022 United States Elections and during the 2024 presidential campaign. In 2023 she will host a show on MSNBC’s Peacock streaming service. [35] Psaki was first to appear on TV following her departure from her post as White House Press Secretary for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She discussed the massacre at Robb Elementary School massacre.
